What happens to what you say
Four people, one system. The leak that matters here is the one inside the household — so every line below says where the guarantee actually lives, and a line whose mechanism does not exist yet says so.
Inside the household
-
Can anyone else in the household see this?
neverNot the person who runs the server, not a parent, not anyone. A cross-profile read is not refused — it cannot be written. api/kith/db/scoping.py.
-
A family progress board
not builtIt sounds useful, and it is the most likely reason somebody stops telling the truth here. Deliberately absent.
What is kept
-
Audio from scenes
not keptNever written to disk, and no transcript of a rehearsal is kept — what you said is gone with the socket. What you type into Decoder is yours, in your own store and nobody else’s.
-
Carrying on where you left off
one dayWhen a rehearsal stops, the last three lines the other person said and how long you had been talking are kept for one day, so the conversation can be carried on. Nothing you said is kept. Press carry on and they are used once and deleted; leave it and they expire on their own.
-
Tell someone if I am struggling
offOff unless you turn it on. Surfacing help does not require reporting on you.
Where it lives
-
Where it lives
whereRecords in Zürich — the database, the accounts, the server. Model answers are composed in the EU (Netherlands), because no generative model runs in Zürich. Nothing leaves the EU, and Switzerland recognises EU protection as adequate.
Delete everything
-
Delete everything
A real hard delete, not a hidden flag — every decode, and everything else held under your profile. Your account stays and starts empty. To remove the sign-in too, use Close this account below.
-
Close this account
Everything above, and the account itself: your sign-in is removed and cannot be reopened. Coming back needs a new invitation.
who is answerable
Kith is a product of TAIA GmbH, which decides what is collected and why. The lines above are answerable to somebody rather than to nobody, which is the point of naming it.
Who else touches it: Google Cloud, for the database and the server in Zürich and the model in the EU. Nobody else.
